Cindy Hoffmann, CFRE

Cynthia “Cindy” Peak Hoffmann, CFRE, has been a professional fundraiser and philanthropic advisor for over 25 years and has successfully led annual, major gift, endowment and capital campaigns and achieved record-breaking results for the Saint Louis Ballet, Webster University and Maryville University in St. Louis, MO; New Mexico State University and Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces, NM; and Hospice El Paso, Loretto Academy and the YWCA El Paso Del Norte Region in El Paso, TX. 


As a consultant, Cindy has served the El Paso Community Foundation, Cathedral High School, the Children’s Kingdom Learning Center and Café and El Paso Ballet Theatre. Cindy is a fundraising generalist and can assist with everything from strategic planning to feasibility studies and from grant writing to planned giving.


Cindy Hoffmann earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in 1996 and recently renewed her certification through 2023. She was honored for her career achievements with the Association of Fundraising Executives (AFP) West Texas/Southern New Mexico Chapter’s Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award in 2005. 


Cindy currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern New Mexico Estate Planning Council and is a past Board Member of the El Paso Estate Planning Council. Cindy served as President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals West Texas/Southern New Mexico Chapter from 1999 to 2001 and Philanthropy Day Chair from 1998 to 2012.  


Ms. Hoffmann has presented educational sessions for the Association of Fundraising Professional’s International Conference on Fundraising, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the Nonprofit Enterprise Center, the University of Texas at El Paso, the St. Louis Planned Giving Council, Candlelighters USA, the Dona Ana Arts Council, the Junior League of El Paso, the United Way of El Paso County and the AFP Texas El Paso Chapter. She has taught AFP’s First Course in Fundraising and the CFRE Review Course in both the United States and Mexico and has been interviewed for Advancing Philanthropy and Successful Fundraising magazines.


Cindy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas at El Paso and has taken graduate course work in arts administration, organizational communication and professional and technical communication in addition to completing hundreds of hours of continuing education course work in fundraising, planned giving, estate planning, nonprofit management, technology and real estate.
